Living Springs

Rural New Zealand has always been a big part of our culture, but there are fewer families able to offer their children a "farming" experience now. That’s what makes the Living Springs Farm Park so special. Here, children can have an interactive experience in a real farm environment.

There are pigs snuffling in a sheltered paddock, ducks quacking and waddling around, as well as sheep waiting to be shorn in front of an audience. Cows are brought in for milking, and yes you can have a go! And most important of all are the horses and donkey, waiting in their stable for a pat, and then ready to give rides to children.

Tourists also love visiting the farm park, particularly those who have never been near a farm or farm animals. The safe atmosphere and picturesque surroundings make this a great day out for everyone.

Kids birthday parties are often held here at the Farm Park, with a spacious bbq area and plenty of tables making it a stress-free venue. But be prepared . . . you may have to throw some of those leftovers to the hungry trio of pigs!
